About the Program

The Run with Recruiters (RWR) Program was launched in spring 2012 to give applicants the chance to work out while gaining insight into what to expect in Recruit Training Class and a career with the Edmonton Police Service.
What to expect:

• Workouts may include cardio and strength conditioning
• Sessions range from long runs to circuit-style workouts, or a combination of both
• Opportunity to train alongside EPS members, ask questions, and meet other applicants
• Gauge your physical readiness before applying

The Recruit Selection Unit strongly recommends attending RWR prior to and during the application process.

Event Details

📍 Location: Northwest Police Campus
🗓 When: Monday evenings (excluding statutory holidays)
⏰ Arrival Time: Meet at the main doors at 1840 hrs
🚗 Parking:

• Use the Edmonton Remand Parking Lot (see image in registration details)
• Do NOT park at the Northwest Divisional Campus (limited space and active police station)

Arrival Instructions

• Wait in your vehicle until entry is permitted (limited foyer space)
• Arrive in workout gear (t-shirt, no sleeveless tops)
• Bring clean/dry indoor runners and a water bottle
• Bring your phone for check-in

Check-In Process

✅ Self Check-In Only

• Go to your Home Page and select Check In
• Check-in opens 30 minutes before the event
• If you are not checked in, you will not receive credit for attendance
• Attendance is tracked for all applicants

⚠️ Confirmation emails will no longer be sent – if you register, be prepared to attend
⚠️ This is a voluntary event. EPS is not responsible for injuries sustained during participation.
Please do not exceed your physical limitations.
