About the Program

The Run with Recruiters (RWR) Program was launched in spring 2012 to give applicants the chance to work out while gaining insight into what to expect in Recruit Training Class and a career with the Edmonton Police Service.

What to expect:

• Workouts may include cardio and strength conditioning
• Sessions range from long runs to circuit-style workouts, or a combination of both
• Opportunity to train alongside EPS members, ask questions, and meet other applicants
• Gauge your physical readiness before applying

The Recruit Selection Unit strongly recommends attending RWR prior to and during the application process.

📍 Meeting Location: South side of the bridge in Henrietta Muir Edwards Park
⏰ Line-up Time: Do not start lining up until 0545 hrs

• A postive attitude
• Running shoes with good tractions
• Weather appropriate layers (we go rain, snow or shine)
• Filled water bottle
• Phone (for check-in)

• Check-in opens 30 minutes before the event
• If you are not checked in, you will not receive credit for attendance
• Attendance is tracked for all applicants
